Jess Barnes is a photographer with an interdisciplinary practice based in Pittsburgh studying in Detroit. He explores his emotions through a mixture of landscape and documentary-style photography. He uses photography as a record and the foundation for transforming into other mediums, like printmaking and embroidery.
Jess has had work featured in exhibitions at Subjectively Objective, The U245, and Subfloor. They are currently a student at the College for Creative Studies in Detroit, MI, graduating in May of 2026
